Manitoba Holds a Big Draw for Express Entry Candidates
On December 5, the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) conducted a significant draw, inviting Express Entry candidates to apply for provincial nomination. In total, 530 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) were issued to candidates through the Expression of Interest (EOI) system. The draw targeted candidates from both the Skilled Workers Overseas Stream and the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream. Here’s a breakdown of the invitations:
- 317 invitations were issued to Skilled Workers Overseas Stream candidates. The lowest score to receive an invitation from this group was 596 points.
- 213 invitations were given to candidates in the Skilled Workers in Manitoba Stream.
Additionally, some of the invitations were issued to candidates in the federal Express Entry system, though the exact number was not specified.
Federal Express Entry System
The federal Express Entry system is the primary immigration pathway for skilled workers seeking to immigrate to Canada. It consists of three programs:
- Federal Skilled Worker Class
- Federal Skilled Trades Class
- Canadian Experience Class
